30A - Destin - Panama City Beach

In December I decided to look for a second home on 30A. After years of coming down and renting a place for weeks at a time, it felt like the right decision to make a getaway home there. Nancy found me on Instagram and I’m so glad she did. We moved quickly to find the right place. I thought I knew where I wanted to be, but Nancy is an expert on all properties and locations on 30A and after showing me several places I decided on a place on Blue Mountain Beach. Once I picked the place and went back home, Nancy handled everything. She made this so easy on me and calmed my nerves along the way. I couldn’t believe how quickly the time passed before closing. Getting the keys and having the locks changed was such an exciting day. I highly recommend Nancy. She’s super communicative and always a text away. She’s trustworthy and caring. Glad to be her 30A neighbor now!

Nancy Shipp was raised in my hometown of Roanoke, Alabama, and I wanted to find another property in Florida because Destin has become too crowded.  I called her mother to get her number, and we started looking soon after the destruction of Mexico Beach, with Mex Beach as a starting spot.  She was very professional and tried to see how much money we wanted to spend to no avail

My only response was that we would know it when we saw it.

 

To make a very long story short Nancy worked the MLS and made appointments literally from Alligator Point almost back to Panama City.  We looked on islands, peninsulas, the mainland, once on the bay, forever.  I don't know how many days we spent all day in the car with Nancy, but there were many!  Either the water, or the property, or the neighborhood, or the view- or a combination- Nothing worked. 

 

Finally, she of utmost patience, Nancy asked if we had considered Navarre, since she had just attended a meeting there.  We had not, and the rest is history.  We started looking at townhomes-too many steps!  Then we looked at a beautiful 3-3 with a view of the back of the berm and the pool.  We happened upon Summerwind Condominiums, and we looked at 4 or 5 units, until we saw unit 801 in the Inn at Summerwind.  Nancy handled making our offer happen.  She expedited every detail getting ready to close.  She talked with the owner. Nancy found us an inspector.  Mrs. Shipp handled electronic whatever and we closed long-distance.  She and her husband met us when we came down for our first visit as owners, and presented us with very nice, appropriate gifts.

 

Nancy Shipp is the only real-estate agent that I will ever use for any of my Florida properties.  She is the antithesis of the agents we have previously used.  Nancy is patient, gives honest opinions, is reliable to be when/where she says, and above all I TRUST HER.  Just don't ever let her give you driving directions in the sand.
